Opportunity image

We are currently recruiting CFRs in Bransgore

Community First Responders are based in the communities they live in, attending non life threatening and life threatening calls. These include, but are not limited too - Suspected heart attacks, suspected strokes, cardiac arrests, broken bones, severe bleeding, breathing difficulties.

We will give full training, over a four day period, so that you are fully equipped to attend these calls and you will not only have the support of you scheme and scheme coordinator but also the Community Engagement & Training team.

You need to have a good level of physical fitness as you will need to carry a kit bag (which can weigh up to 13kg) and be able to perform effective CPR (after training)

Why do our Community First Responders do this voluntary role?

Paul, a Community First Responder said "I was looking for a volunteering opportunity which would allow me to feel like I was contributing to the safety and wellbeing of my local community. Being a CFR has allowed me to achieve this - from attending a fall to carrying out CPR I know that I am helping my community at an often worrying time."

We ask that you are free to attend an interview on Microsoft Teams, then a recruitment evening on 10th January. You will then need to attend 4 days of training which will take place on 3rd & 4th February and the 17th & 18th February 2024.
