Community First Responder (Emsworth, Hampshire)

Opportunity image

We are currently recruiting CFRs in Emsworth, Hampshire

Community First Responders are based in the communities they live in, attending non life threatening and life threatening calls. These include, but are not limited too - Suspected heart attacks, suspected strokes, cardiac arrests, broken bones, severe bleeding, breathing difficulties.

Dan became a CFR after meeting his local scheme at a community engagement event "I had often thought about volunteering but never felt like I had the time or had found one that had inspired me to join, but learning about the CFR scheme changed that. Being part of a team, being able to respond around my own commitments and know I am supporting my community was the drive I needed"

You will receive 4 days of face to face initial training, with annual re qualification days, access to our online e learning and the support of your local scheme and the Community Engagement & Training team.

You need to have a good level of physical fitness as you will need to carry a kit bag (which can weigh up to 13kg) and be able to perform effective CPR (after training)

Our next training dates are in February and March.
